SCI Tournament Details

Team Qualification
SCI Youth Football Festivals are officially sanctioned by The Football Association, The Scottish Youth Football Association and The Football Association of Wales. To participate, teams must be affiliated to a County or Schools Football Association. Scottish teams must seek permission from the SYFA at Hampden Park to participate.

Team Registration Fees
All teams must pay a team registration fee in order to participate:
7-a-side teams (maximum squad 12 players) = £139
11-a-side teams (maximum squad 18 players) = £189
11-a-Side Under 15’s Boys Teams = £229
(SCI Assistant Referees provided for every Boys under 15’s match).

Age Qualifications For SCI Youth Football Festivals 2008
Under 7’s Born on or after 1st September 2001
Under 8’s Born on or after 1st September 2000
Under 9’s Born on or after 1st September 1999
Under 10’s Born on or after 1st September 1998
Under 11’s Born on or after 1st September 1997
Under 12’s Born on or after 1st September 1996
Under 13’s Born on or after 1st September 1995
Under 14’s Born on or after 1st September 1994
Under 15’s Born on or after 1st September 1993
Under 16’s Born on or after 1st September 1992

Teams from Scotland, Ireland and Europe will play in an age group 1 year above their respective own age group due to different birth date qualifications.

Team & Player Registration
All teams are required to complete an official SCI Youth Football Festival Team Registration Card. The name and date of birth of all players in the team squad must be entered alongside an affixed passport size photo of the appropriate player. SCI Youth Football Festival Team Registration Cards will be accepted without a supporting affixed passport size photo providing alternative player verification, in the form of an official league identification card or 10 year passport, is provided and signed off by an SCI Festival Official.

How The Tournament Works
SCI aim to provide the maximum amount of football permitted under Football Association and Football Association of Wales guidelines for each respective age group. The format of each tournament may vary according to the number of teams entered. However, 11-a-side teams should prepare to play 2 to 3 games each day and 7-a-side teams should prepare to play 3 to 6 games each day.

Girls Football
Choose from 3 fantastic SCI Girls Youth Football Festivals at Camber Sands on Easter Weekend, Prestatyn Sands, on May Day Weekend which attracted over 50 girls teams alone in 2008, or Brean Sands again on Whitsun Weekend. Over 120 girls teams toured with SCI in 2008!!

Match Officials
All SCI Youth Football Festival matches are refereed by match officials qualified by their respective County Football Association.

Football Pitches
All SCI Youth Football Festival matches take place on grass pitches with changing, toilet & catering facilities and are situated near to your Holiday Park.

Official SCI Event First Aid Officer
SCI Youth Football Festivals provide the services of a fully qualified Health & Safety Executive & Football Association (FA Diploma in the Treatment and Management of Football Injuries) trained first aid and sports physiotherapist professional at the football pitches.

SCI Football Celebrity Gala Presentation
A night to remember! Every young footballer & team manager receive a memento of the festival from a football celebrity. Guests that appeared at the 2008 SCI Youth Football Festivals Celebrity Gala Presenation Evening’s included Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock, Matt Le Tissier, Jason McAteer, Ray Parlour, Mark Bright, Chris Kamara, Gavin Peacock, Neville Southall, Nigel Spackman, and Ian Snodin. Child Protection
SCI Youth Football Festivals follow Football Association guidelines on Child Protection. All Festival Directors & tournament personnel are vetted. All participating clubs should have a Child Protection policy in place and all members of their party should be checked.

Prices in this brochure DO NOT include any transport between the Holiday Park and the football pitches.

Official SCI Event Insurance Cover: ENDSLEIGH SPORTS INSURANCE
SCI Youth Football Festivals recommend travel and playing insurance cover be arranged. We’ve teamed up with Endsleigh Sports Insurance Services to provide a package that will cover you for both normal holiday insurance and injury to the children whilst playing football. An Official Endsleigh Sports Insurance application form will be forwarded to you, by SCI, automatically on receipt of your booking. Full details of the policy can be viewed on the SCI website under Endsleigh Travel Insurance. If you have your own travel Insurance and decline the Endsleigh Scheme recommended by SCI, you must sign our Insurance Indemnity on the Booking Form.
