Join SCI in Folkestone in 2025 on the ever popular May-Day Bank Holiday Weekend for the 1st SCI South East Mitre Ultimatch Trophy. We have moved our festivals from Great Yarmouth to Folkestone for 2025 following the closure of the holiday resort at Great Yarmouth. Our Great Yarmouth festival had run for 18 years and we are excited to move to Folkestone for 2025. Our festivals at Great Yarmouth were quite simply legendary so we are looking to continue this at Folkestone. Teams from as far away as Scotland have attended before & famous footballers including Rio Ferdinand have attended past events at Great Yarmouth.

Teams travel from far and wide to compete in the Prestigious Mitre Ultimatch Trophy events each and every year. The Folkestone festival will attract teams from across England over the weekend. All Football matches are played Aylesham Welfare Leisure Centre on grass football pitches and 3G If required. Over 80 teams took part at Great Yarmouth in 2024 and numbers are expected to be high at Folkestone in 2025.

The SCI South East Mitre Ultimatch Trophy is run by some of our most experienced tournament directors who have been working with us for over 30 years now - so you can rest assured that you will be attending an excellently organised SCI Youth Football Festival.

Aylesham Welfare Leisure Centre

Aylesham Welfare Leisure Centre offers up to 10 Pitches for the weekend for the festival. The venue offers grass pitches & 3G if required for all age groups, full toilet, changing, catering & first aid facilities are available at Aylesham as well.

A great team of referee's & officials that have been working with us at Great Yarmouth for many years will be in attendance for the weekend, to make sure the festival runs smoothly.

Folkestone

Folkestone is one of the UK's most historic seaside resorts and is set on the South East Coast of England just a short drive from Dover and it's famous cliffs.

The Grand Burstin Hotel sits in the most envious location on Folkestone seafront and has great views across the harbour and beach.

Folestone has a town centre with plenty of shops and restaurants just a walk from The Grand Burstin Hotel, plus there is the pebble beach just 50 yards from the hotel entrance itself.

Out and about in the local area there is Port Lympne Safari Park, Lower Leas Coastal Park plus the White Cliffs of Dover.

With 550 cosy bedrooms, many with spectacular sea views and private balconies, the hotel is renowned as one of the UK's top entertainment hotels, so guests can relax, dine in style and be magically entertained, all under one roof.

There are two restaurants, the Victorian and the Harbour, which serve quality hand-crafted recipes. The Ocean bar hosts the live entertainment programme, music from the resident band and bingo. Guests can also dance the night away at the late night disco.

many rooms having great views of the harbour and sea. The Grand Burstin Hotel has superb views out to sea and offers entertainment & facilities for the weekend. There is a swimming pool*, fitness club plus a Showbar with Nightly entertainment every night. There is also another bar/ lounge with tv screens showing all the sports over the weekend and there are 2 restaurants in the hotel serving buffet breakfast and dinner for the weekend too! The Victorian Restaurant has more choices and daiy specials menus and this restaurant is open to all guests in Seaview or Executive Rooms. All guests in Standard rooms dine in the Harbour Restaurant. Both restaurants are buffets so guests can help themselves to what ever they like and as much as they like, so there is something for everyone.

One of the Great Features of The Grand Burstin Hotel is that it is a Half-Board Venue meaning that Breakfast & Dinner is included in the price for everyone for the whole weekend! The teams can choose from eating a wide range of food at breakfast & dinner times, which include a hot cooked breakfast or a cold variety of cereals, juices & more for breakfast, to a selection of soups, main courses, salad bar, desserts & more for dinner. There is so much choice the restaurant really does cater for everyone. Better still the restaurant is self-service too, so you and your team can help yourself to as much as you like.

Another Great Feature of The Grand Burstin Hotel is that the rooms sleeps from 1 to 5 persons, so there are no under occupancy charges applicable for the weekend. There is a choice of 3 Grades of accommodation for the weekend - Standard Rooms, Seaview Rooms & Executive Rooms.

There is a choice of types of rooms for the weekend at the Grand Burstin hotel, we have Executive Rooms - Doubles, Twins & Family Rooms for 4 persons (Family Rooms are 2 room next to each other - 1 Double & 1 Twin)
Seaview Rooms - Doubles, Twins & Family Rooms for 4 persons (Family Rooms are 2 room next to each other - 1 Double & 1 Twin)
Standard Rooms - Single, Double, Twin, Family Rooms for 3/4/5 persons (Some family rooms are 1 room, some family rooms are 2 rooms next to each other)

Bed Linen & Towels is included in all accommodation at The Grand Burstin Hotel for the weekend - You may wish to bring additional Towels.

CELEBRITY PRESENTATION NIGHT

Our presentation nights are the perfect way to round off you weekend, whatever the result on the pitch every single player gets to go up on stage and receive a medal for competing in the festival, there is also winners and runners up trophies, plus the magnificent SCI South East Mitre Ultimatch Trophy for the winning team in each age group to keep. Plus there is a very special Fair Play award in each age group as well - there really is something for everyone. No presentation would be complete without a special guest and 2023 at Great Yarmouth was no different!! We was delighted to welcome former England & England under 21s manager & England Playing Legend Stuart Pearce to the SCI Presentation. In 2024 the guest was none other than Southampton Legend and Maverick Matt Le Tissier. SCI has welcomed a variety of guests to our SCI Presentations including Former England Goalkeeper Paul Robinson, Aston Villa & England Midfielder Lee Hendrie, Liverpool & England Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland and many others as well. Car parking – Chargeable - Grand Burstin Hotel

Parking at the Grand Burstin Hotel - £5 per day; 200 parking spaces, 8 disabled spaces, height restriction 2.4m, all parking spaces are on a first come first serve basis and cannot be reserved.

There are other car parks close by to the hotel, charges can vary for these pending on each individual car park. Coaches and Mini Buses - there is a large open air car park opposite the entrance to the hotel, the car park is privately owned and charges are applicable.

ALL TEAMS MUST BOOK THERE ACCOMMODATION THROUGH SCI FOOTBALL FESTIVALS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2025 SCI FOOTBALL FESTIVALS. Entertainment passes & SCI Wristbands are included in the accommodation prices. Dogs are NOT allowed for the weekend in the Accommodation or at the Football grounds.
